What happened to you Coke? What happened to change your views of perfect harmony to racist voter suppression. Fifty years ago you believed in perfect harmony and now you want black lives and votes not to matter. I think corporations like yours should stay the hell out of politics. You did it for money, we know you did...I hope people abandon all your products in droves.
FU.
I often wonder about this as well. And this oldie. Who remembers?
Jesus loves the little children, all the little children of the world - -red and yellow, black and white, they are precious in his sight, Jesus loves the little children of the world
I was just raised in a middle class home with lots of neighbors who (then) celebrated the same thing.

Coke sucks as do the masked men that signed this legislation behind locked doors. They had a congress woman, dragged away in cuffs because of the color of her skin. They showed us in no uncertain terms who they are and why they signed that legislation in darkness.

(11,583 posts)I remember this commercial playing in the late 70's so it must been a very successful ad campaign. I don't think its too late for Coke to stop the bleeding but they need to act fast.

(9,177 posts)I am thinking "Corporations like Coca-Cola should NOT stay the hell out of politics" I am thinking Georgian corporations must step INTO Georgian politics to to oppose the GOP's white supremacist coup against democracy in the strongest possible terms.
Yes it it will hurt their bottom line - lots of MAGAs drink Coke. It is our job to convince Coke that they will LOSE A LOT MORE MONEY if they stay silent.
The question is, Coca-Cola, do you want THIS to be the face of Georgia in the 21st Century?
The question is, which side of the Edmund Pettus Bridge do you stand?
You could start by offering free cans of Coke to voters who have to stand in long lines. That would get some attention. And hell, even MAGAs like free stuff.
