So if you're a non-rural Missourian, your vote is apparently no good. That has me wondering...

Republican lawmakers blocked Medicaid expansion funding from reaching the Missouri House floor on Thursday, posing a setback for the voter-approved plan to increase eligibility for the state health care program.

The House Budget Committee voted along party lines not to pass a bill allowing Missouri to spend $130 million in state funds and $1.6 billion in federal money to pay for the program’s expansion. Under the Affordable Care Act, the federal government picks up 90% of the tab on expanding Medicaid.

Moberly Rep. Ed Lewis said despite that 53% of those who cast ballots in favor of expansion, the number did not amount to a majority of Missouri's eligible voters or population. "Rural Missouri said no," said Rep. Sara Walsh, of Ashland.

So if your vote is not worth all that much, is the money you pay in state taxes really worth all that much, non-rural Missouri?

Is the money you pay for the healthcare you have now, is that money 'good' to pay for that healthcare? Better to not let those people worry about that and not pay. Better to just relieve them of that burden of worrying about if your money is good, right?

chose to ignore this too, the will of the voters for the voters didn't know what they were talking about.

Talk about a dictatorship in the state of Missouri. Any thing that is passed by the voters is usually not approved by the majority of voters since usually, not everyone voted (the %s are a fraction of all total registered voters). This still doesn't mean that the will of those who did vote to be ignored.

This is the republican party for you in MO. Embed yourself into the government apparatus, literally forever, and then start passing laws and or other such voter restriction / election laws and you'll find that the state has literally become a one party state. Disgusting.

These are the same jackasses that insist on pronouncing this as the state of "Miss-ur-uh" (as if the ending -souri somehow is really meant to be said -sourah).

Other "chraming" glitches in the dialect of these miscreants include "Farty-Far" (44), Warsh-ing-ton (never have found that missing "r" myself) and many more.

If my career were not tied to this excremental region I would so gladly leave it would look like the Roadrunner "meep-meep"-ing of screen in puffs of dust.

"rural" vote is worth several times the value of an urban vote...keep the hicks (slavers and other deplorables) in their "rightful" white is right minority/majority...
Quite the sicko system we have here in the declining days of our empire....
