Last week or so it is like everyone is waking up from a nightmare. We can breathe again. We have hope.
A lady who lives in this senior village, and still hangs on to her Republican registration, yet mostly supports what Democrats are trying to accomplish put it this way... (and yes I know that whole sentence is crazy ... just give up and switch already)
She said ( and I agree )
It isn't the lockdowns starting to lift ( a little too soon maybe)
It isn't warmer weather and flowers starting to pop out.
It isn't longer daylight.
It isn't even the fact there is nearly all good news coming out of DC.
It is partly that the hate monger is off the internet and out of the public eye. Making it harder for him to spread that hate is the single best thing so far.
One of the things I hope does not get lost is using whatever power there is to control the publicly supported information machine to stop the bad actors from spreading the lies and hate.

(14,118 posts)in bloom right now. I looked it up and the various trees are: Yoshino Cherry (white), Helen
Borchers Peach (pink), Akebono Cherry (white), and Kwanzan Cherry (pink). Here the
city does a lot of planting on public property. No wonder I love it here!
Thanks for the good op. It's awfully hard to hate these trees, at least!
