But picking up three seats in a first midterm is asking a bunch.

Two would be enough for some modifications to the existing rule

A bill-by-bill "nuclear option" in case they can't get 50 senators that want to make a change to the filibuster in general.

we can get some voting rights legislation passed.

If not, the political reality is that right wingers run enough states that they can ensure that only their voters get to cast a ballot.

But don't forget, we need to keep the House.

There is no legislation coming from the Senate without the House.

The House is going to be a battle. '20 didn't go well.

And off year elections... you know the deal.

We'll be limited to whatever Manchin and Sinema will vote for. Dems really messed up when we failed to flip some of the Senate seats we were in a position to win in 2020. I still think of what could have been after we ended up winning unexpectedly in Georgia.

Plan. Did not lay out a lot of details, but said no doubt they would pass HR1/S1. She’s not one to just say stuff.

Al Franken said the same on cnn.

It’s coming!

I trust our leadership

Because there won't be a handful of new Democratic senators elected in 2022 if HR1/S1 isn't passed.
