It's sad how sick I am of this country and the attitude we have against black/brown/poor people. And the way we bomb brown countries for decades with no resistance. In the 60s, the country blew up over one war. Now we're in multiple wars and I haven't seen an anti-war protest in a LONG time.
Injustice for one is injustice for all.... eventually. I wish people would stick out their necks for non-trendy justice.

(1,896 posts)I did an experiment yesterday. I failed miserably.
Those are just positions. Every problem in the world goes through there somewhere. As President you are responsible and someone isn't going to like what you do. I started looking at some of the problems, wars, dictators, pandemics, climate, inequality, and the list never ends. It made me feel like I had to step back, I couldn't put myself through it. That's when I realized how weak Trump, McConnell, and the rest of the ilk are. They are as weak as I am. They can't do it either. About the best we can do is to help around us, I'm not tough enough for public office. Neither are any of them.

(4,858 posts)...so it's easy for people to forget they're actually happening. It's also been twenty years, believe it or not, since 9/11 and the beginning of our Mideast wars. We've just gotten used to it all...
