Got a haircut today!

First in a very long time. Vaccine has kicked in and feeling safer. And then actually went into the grocery store. Wow, what a feeling of freedom and normalcy. (almost) Thanks Joe!

1. Thursday is my 2 week post 2nd Pfizer jab 'Happy Dance' day.

Even though I'm not going to change a single precaution I'm taking, I might start expanding my world.

2. Haven't had a haircut in 12 months

My hair was pretty short at the beginning of the pandemic and now it's shoulder length.

Got my first Moderna shot today and will get the 2nd in 3 weeks....and two weeks after that I will get a haircut!

3. 2nd of Moderna is in 4 weeks.

Couple of weeks after the first dose some protection starts.

4. On Friday I will probably be about as immune as I'll ever be, but,

as I've posted previously, the pandemic has given me populophobia. So now I'm afraid of being around people and especially of being indoors around people. I will probably keep ordering groceries for delivery because I don't want to shop for them indoors. My six-foot-radius social distancing bubble will remain an impenetrable force field. My annoyingly long hair is going to keep getting longer for awhile; I know someone who got covid from her hairdresser back in December and she hasn't been the same since. I might get my piano tuned because it's horrible, but only if the tuner has been vaccinated. I want to wait to see where some of these variants are going (and what the stupid people are doing) before I change my behavior by much.

5. I get my groceries delivered too, I don't see that changing any time soon.

But I do want that haircut!

6. I've learned to like the pony tail. I might keep it.

I've even put my hair in braids, which makes me look like an elderly Pippi Longstocking.

8. I've had my second shot, but I plan to continue observing masking and social distancing for a while

longer. I can get all my necessities delivered to my door and I can live with my hair for a while longer. I don't feel comfortable with someone being that close to me yet. I'm waiting for the rest of my family to get vaccinated so we can start seeing each other again. Luckily, we don't have any anti-vaxxers in the family, so it's just a matter of time.

7. I've been cutting my own

9. Haven't had a haircut in a year...

Length back to ‘60’s length. After decades of army shortness or slightly longer I’m thinking I’ll keep it.

10. Went to my first brewery in a year.

Man I almost forgot what eating in a restaurant was like!

So glad that I got my first vaccine already, my second one is in 3 weeks! Thanks President Biden!
