A California teacher has resigned after being heard on a hot mic making racist, insulting remarks about a Black student, his mother and the Black community at large for more than a half-hour.

“She’s answered her phone for the first time the entire year,” the teacher said, according to the video obtained by the Orange County Register. “I mean these parents, that’s what kind of piece of s—t they are.”


“He’s Black. They’re a Black family,” she added. In the call, she also deploys racist slurs against Stokes and her son.

“I’m seeing what you’re not going through,” a voice on the call says, identified by the Register as Newman’s husband.

“Your son has learned to lie to everybody and make excuses ... to be a child,” Newman goes on to say. “Since you’ve taught him to make excuses that nothing is his fault. This is what Black people do.”

5. Black families experience different things than white families for sure. I would have no issue

sharing the fact it is a black family per se. I mean, maybe bringing in another person that can better relate is significant.

All groups have issue raising kids to make excuses. All parents have to make a conscious effort to not make excuses, ergo teaching making excuses, for our kids. I could argue that possibly the argument can be made black parent approach differently Because literally a lot of issues are presented because of a systematic racism, and every day bigotry that haws amplified in hate and violence and death.

So, I think stating it is a black family is needs to be a part of the discourse.

I am still sitting with MN ruling if a girl gets herself drunk then she cannot be declared legally protected from rape if she becomes incapacitated.
