Derek had been in cars many times. Wasn't an issue then.
I think that's the cops' excuse for dragging him out to rough him up. Then, it went far too far.

If ever there was a case where a man was pleading for them to stop or they were going to kill him that was it. I'm a 60 year old white guy and I can emphasize. I am claustrophobic and am not comfortable with having my ability to breathe impeded.

I have no evidence or proof. Just a theory.

He was killed to keep the counterfeit money ring secret, and some of the Police were a part of the ring.
