Meaning the Governor hasn't signed it? That is imprecise MerryHolidays Mar 2021 #2
Imprecise because if a trans kid breaks their arm, they'll still get a cast, for example (nt) Hugh_Lebowski Mar 2021 #7

So I'm assuming this means intersex children also won't be "corrected" after birth now, right? ck4829 Mar 2021 #3
Being intersex is not a problem to be corrected and medical interventions often aren't necessary. WhiskeyGrinder Mar 2021 #14
That's why "corrected" is in quotes - there's no need to do it to an infant ck4829 Mar 2021 #16
"ban health care" is a concept that should never see the light of day. TreasonousBastard Mar 2021 #4

Its a ban on specific things though not an outright ban. Hopefully SCOTUS will throw it out cstanleytech Mar 2021 #12

ACLU should clarify their imprecise wording, however.

But this just shocking that any sentient human being could make a law like this.

That's who's really running Arkansas, and you're more likely to get a response from them than anyone else there.

though as the legislature greatly overstepped its power imo but then again considering the makeup of SCOTUS they might also rubberstamp it.

Just want to clarify because this sounds pretty bad;

Does this mean they can’t get medical care like for an appendicitis or a lung infection or cancer?

Or are we talking about gender-modification treatments.

I am not making lite of the need to have rights to identify with the gender of your choice, but I also want to know if this is ALL MEDICAL CARE.

"I'm not making light of the need to have rights to trans health care, but I also want to know if this is all medical care."

The law addresses only gender-affirming health care.
