Is that why the "former guy" is remaining involved in politics? So long as he can maintain part of his base, he can claim that he is being "politically persecuted" whenever he is charged with multiple crimes?
He believes if he has people standing behind him, he can never be convicted? If people support him, then he must be innocent? It is all politics and fake media.
Is that the direction the "former guy" is headed?
(In a FOX interview the other day, he said that the Capitol "insurrectionists" were being persecuted)

(20,683 posts)After reading Mary Trump's book, I see her view of Trump. He is a monster who feeds on attention and image building.
Even as former President, he still presents himself as a danger. The investigations into his mobster family will ultimately bankrupt him in more ways than just financial. For "political persecution" goes only so far.

(115,279 posts)Each day that passes without him being charged or indicted, he only gets emboldened and stronger. He should not be given the opportunity to try and change the reality of January 6th. Everybody saw what happened.
