Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) has privately told confidants he's seriously considering not seeking re-election and possibly leaving Congress early for a job at Newsmax, three sources with direct knowledge of the talks tell Axios.

......................... One of the sources said Gaetz has had early conversations with the network about what a position could look like.

The backdrop: Many Republicans turned to the network after Fox News called Arizona early for President Biden.

Some critics now say Fox is not conservative enough for their tastes, providing an opening for Newsmax and the One America News Network (OANN).

Gaetz has previously toyed with the idea of running for higher office.............................................

Get him out of elected office and into a Right to Work job.
Then he can be fired without notice and subjected to arbitration.

Newsmax will never really contend against Fox - they just don’t have the resources to put into it. Gaetz could bite into Tucker’s audience but people are creatures of habits which is why people watch when Tucker is on.

partially after only 5 years in office. (Previously required 5 years if over 60?, 20 years if younger, or something like that, to draw full pensions.)

And now he's considering "retiring" at five years. This 39-year-old bastard's going to be sponging on our federal taxes for life.

Well, good riddance to bad rubbish. They've given themselves this much incentive to leave, so maybe more will take it.

Or maybe they can go back to the old standard 4:3 ratio instead of 16: 9.
