‘I Believe I Witnessed a Murder’: Bystander Who Saw George Floyd’s Death Tears Up Listening to 911 Call

Jurors at the murder trial for George Floyd’s accused killer, former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin, heard on Tuesday from a witness who said he called 911 after Floyd’s death because he believed he “witnessed a murder.”

“I was very lost at the moment,” the witness, Donald Williams, told jurors in Minneapolis. “And I was very nervous and not knowing what to do.”

“At some point, did you make a 911 call?” an attorney asked Williams. “That is correct,” Williams replied. “I did call the police on the police … because I believe I witnessed a murder.”

It was the second day jurors heard from Williams, a 33-year-old former MMA fighter. In testimony on Monday, he compared Chauvin’s hold on Floyd to a “kill choke” move, and said he looked Chauvin “dead in the eye” as Floyd was dying.

3. I liked how after the defense kept asking him about MMA fighters

regaining consciousness and beginning to fight, the prosecution came back and asked "and how many of those MMA fighter were in handcuffs?"

4. And how many were held in a choke hold for 8 minutes and 46 seconds? None.

The refs rush in and stop the match in MMA when a fighter passes out from a choke hold BECAUSE HE CAN DIED IF IT CONTINUES.

Such a ridiculous argument as it plays right into the state's hands. Choke holds can kill you.
