Baylor's Kim Mulkey gives ridiculous opinion about COVID-19 testing

Shortly after her team lost a heartbreaking game to UConn in the Elite Eight on Monday at San Antonio's Alamodome, Baylor coach Kim Mulkey said the NCAA should stop testing players for COVID-19 to ensure no one has to miss the men's or women's Final Four.

"They need to dump the COVID testing," Mulkey told reporters at Monday's postgame press conference. "Wouldn’t it be a shame to keep COVID testing and then you've got kids that end up having tested positive or something, and they don’t get to play in the Final Four? So, you need to just forget the COVID tests and let the four teams that are playing in each Final Four go battle it out.”

Mulkey gave that opinion completely unprompted. No one asked her about testing protocols, she just her wild opinion fly.

The Baptists love her at Baylor, she is a nasty person in general. I remember a time when she would not shake the hand of a coach who had been beating her team consistently. She just walked away without shaking hands. She had Britney Griner on her team, I could not believe that Britney put up with the Baylor nonsense as an out lesbian. What a horrible place to play and live. Kimmy will ignore her "values" if she wins as a result of it. Oh and as long as the "ladies keep their orientation in the closet".

One of the worst experiences I ever had at a women's game was meeting some Baylor fans (in their 60's by the way) in a restroom at the Big 12 tournament. They were swearing like sailors, calling our coach names, our players names that I have never used in my entire life.

The hypocrisy is strong with this crowd.

Was this a way of excusing her teams loss?

IOW is there any sense to it whatsoever?

“If you don’t test, you don’t have any cases,” Trump said at a June 15 roundtable discussion at the White House. “If we stopped testing right now, we’d have very few cases, if any.”

But I'm inclined to overlook it, like I would if the Yankees were ever on the short end of a bad call.
