McConnell blames election-related 'confusion' for Republican vaccine reluctance

What the hell is he even blabbering about? What does the election have to do with the vaccine?

About time to get the hook out and drag this blithering idiot off the stage ...

*****

The Senate’s top Republican said Monday that “confusion” related to the 2020 presidential election may explain why Republican men are more hesitant to get themselves vaccinated against COVID-19.

Speaking at a health-care event in his home state of Kentucky, Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell said, “I think there was some confusion because of the election year, last year, created for Republican men.”

(snip)

McConnell said he did not hesitate to get his vaccination and urged other Republican men to get a shot.

“I can say, as a Republican man, as soon as it was my turn I took the vaccine. I would encourage all Republican men to do that,” he said.

Repeating it just 5 times seems to do the trick.

Until there are more doses then there are people who want them... I'm fine with them letting "their" doses pass on to the next person in line.

to something that will evade his vaccine and kill him.

A valid concern, and one I worry about (except the part about it killing him).

“I think there was some confusion because of the election year, last year, created for Republican men.”

If he means: "created" by Republicans to cause even more division than usual, in an election year, to hype up their base to vote. Yeah, I can see that.

Confusion about the pandemic, contagiousness, vaccines, and all the rest have one and only one source and you know it: The former guy. The guy you voted to acquit twice for his high crimes and misdemeanors. The guy who set his mob loose on the Capitol on Jan. 6. "Confusion" has a name, you low-life, and you're too cowardly to name it.

"Oh my, the house burned down. Don't mind the matches and rags soaked in gasoline that we have stashed all over the place."

Conservatives are full of crap. They talk about "confusion" and people not trusting the process, as if it just came out of nowhere. Those bastards planted the mistrust and watered it every damn day. Idiots like Graham, Hawley, Johnson, and McConnell in the Senate. Idiots like Gaetz, Brooks, McCarthy, and Greene in the House. They light the fire, and then wonder why the house is burning. They have no business representing anyone in Congress.

For actively spreading lies or for not standing up to the liars and calling them out. I do not know of any elected Republican official, except maybe Governor Hogan who has called Trump and the GOP out on their lies.

They can LIE, CHEAT, and STEAL at the same time.

What they are fundamentally incapable of is caring about others. What is not in their make up is being honorable public servants, which being an elected official, or government employee is all about.

Mitch McConnell said, “I think there was some confusion because of the election year, last year, created for Republican men.”

The election year confused Republican men.

Because they'd be rushing for a vaccine if this were 2018? Since the election's over, then shouldn't that remove all confusion? Or was it the steady stream of GOP generated bullshit that confused them? Or are only Republican men so easily confused?

That's a lot of disdain for your base, there, Mitchell
