George Floyd

Do the defense attorneys believe they can prove that George Floyd was dying BEFORE Derek Chauvin touched him?

Their defense falls apart because either:

A) George Floyd died as a direct and sole result of Chauvin's knee on his neck, cutting off his oxygen, or
B) If George Floyd was in the process of dying BEFORE Chauvin allegedly was trying to subdue him, Floyd's physical distress would have been apparent and Chauvin's duty was to save him. And what if Chauvin was too obtuse and not trained to know that Floyd was dying? HE'S STILL RESPONSIBLE FOR FLOYD'S DEATH. Then it's a question of murder or manslaughter.

Judge ought to just call this one as obviously guilty. But defense only has to convince 1 juror. Hoyt Mar 2021 #2

And then do it a few more times because prosecution would certainly retry.

This one is so obvious and really tough to listen to the poor witnesses who wished they had done more. That's really sad, because they would have been beaten if not shot for coming to Floyd's defense.

... a dying person can be killed... and a dying person can also be saved. You are correct in that it was his duty to help any suspect in distress, which is clearly the case... Plus, the officer was armed, with plenty of back-up, and Floyd was handcuffed.

I'm watching and trying to be open, but not seeing innocent...

I think it will come down to what kind, or degree, of killing.
