snip
In an interview with Fox News' Tucker Carlson on Tuesday, Gaetz said that David McGee, now a lawyer at Beggs & Lane, a law firm in Pensacola, Florida was going after his family for money to help conceal the DOJ investigation.
McGee told The Daily Beast the reports of extortion were "completely, totally false."
"This is a blatant attempt to distract from the fact that Matt Gaetz is apparently about to indicted for sex trafficking underage girls," McGee told the Daily Beast on Tuesday.

fast and ranting about some convoluted story about this extortion. Oh, I so want to see this smarmy jerk go down in flames of shame.

What's also being overlooked is that you can be guilty of a crime and someone could use that for extortion. In fact, being guilty would be a reason someone would try to extort you.

It seems he had the correct crimes, but he was totally mistaken about which political party is responsible for those crimes. He's batting .500 I guess, but that's not nearly enough to get you into the conspiracy whacko hall of fame.
