What if Gaetz's so called extortioner is working on trump's behalf?

Let me be clear, I think it's likely that Gaetz is a pedophile sex trafficker (along with Tucker).

But it could also be true that tRump or one of his stooges had inside knowledge of the situation, perhaps he even arranged the double date, and then he used it as leverage for various votes, TV coverage, etc (just like he uses leverage on others like Lindsey, Ron Johnson, etc).

Now that tRump is out of a job and his golf club got shut down due to covid, he might be trying to cash in.

3. What if his extortionist is a fistful of feces he just pulled out of his ass?

Why should Gaetz be given the benefit of the doubt as to believe he is being truthful about being extorted? His track record of untruthfulness does not justify such a presumption. Rather the opposite, pending actual evidence.

4. Well ... it's a lot easier to extort an actually guilty person, wouldn't you think?

These are not mutually exclusive ideas is all I'm saying.

deflection to claim to be the victim whilst being the offender.

"Hey, Gaetz, why is the DOJ sniffing around you?"
"It's not because I sex trafficked a minor!!! No! It's, uh, it's.... I mean, uh... Oh!... *ahem*... It's because someone is trying to blackmail me with totes not true accusations... Yup, that's it. That's why the DOJ is poking around."

And when the rubber hits the road on something like this? Guess who actually ends up in trouble?

The sex offender.

So ... there's that.

I guess we'll know soon!

Again, I think he's guilty as charged, I just think that tRump had a DOJ official attempt a shakedown to make the case go away. "Criminal extortion scheme" just screams tRump. That's his MO.

capable of doing these type of things.

WE know when he tries and it's obvious like with trying to overturn the election.
