How old is the "older sister" of Gaetz's fake adopted son, Nestor?

Nestor was 12 when his mom died and he went to live with his older sister and Gaetz, her boyfriend at the time. Gaetz and the "older sister" broke up at some point between then and last year, when he first spoke in public about Nestor.

When Nestor was 12, how old was the sister who was already living with Gaetz?

Could she have been the mystery under-age woman? Or one of them?

If true, and the rest of the timeframes are accurate, the older sister and the 17 year old wouldn't be the same person.

I still think Gaetz possibly might be the baby daddy from getting Nestor's mom pregnant when he was 17 or 18.

6. Why couldn't the older sister of a 12 year old have been almost any age above 13?

I'm not sure how anyone is ruled out, since the various reports I've seen about the 17 year old are unclear about what year she was 17.

You are correct, she could be, except I still think people would've noticed/said something if a Congressman lived with a 17 year old girl ... would've come up quite a long time ago.

Someone in a post below says that she was born in 1989. How to explain this photo, where Gaetz's parents give her a fancy car, celebrating 15 years of . . . something?

Let's assume this photo was first tweeted the same month it was reposted. June 2020. Fifteen years before then would have been 2005.

In 2005 she would have been . . . 16.

What happened beginning at age 16 that connected her to Gaetz's parents? Did she start working for them then, or what?

8. There was mention somewhere about her having a dui at 21

and that being years ago. I think this whole thing with Nestor is odd but I don't think she is the person being mentioned in this case .

12. A Reddit sleuth puts her DOB in 1989.

What isn't exactly clear is when Nestor's sister, Maisbel Mendez, arrived in the U.S., though presumably it was before Nestor's arrival, seeing as she was arrested for a DUI on 5/1/2011 ( https://florida.arrests.org/Arrests/Maisbel_Mendez_5498526/ ), which is two (2) years before Nestor allegedly came to the U.S.

The DUI incident report states that Maisbel Mendez's d.o.b. is 5/6/1989, making her 21 years old when she was arrested for DUI.

At the time that Maisbel Mendez was seeking custody of Nestor Galban, with Matt Gaetz as her lawyer, she was 27 years old and Matt Gaetz was 34 years old. It is unclear as to why the 27 year old sister wanted to obtain custody of the 15 year old Nestor.

18. Just doing some math and putting 2+2 together...

I ended up going down a rabbit hole after reading some bizarre Matt Gaetz backstories on Twitter.

Here is my new theory:

Matt Gaetz has always been a predator of young girls. When was 19 or 20 y.o. he had sex with a then 12 or 13 y.o. Maisbel Mendez who got pregnant and gave birth to a son (Nestor) in 2002 or 2003. The head of the Gaetz family - Don Gaetz - was, at the time, high profile and prominent in North Florida politics so a scandal like this could have ruined his career and his family's reputation. So they made a decision to send the child to Cuba to live with members of Maisbel's family (her father Nestor Galban Sr, and her mother or aunt Marbelina Matos).

Maisbel was compensated by the Gaetz family for her silence (cash, cars, etc.). When Nestor was 12 y.o. he moved to to FL because his extended family in Cuba was immigrating to FL and he had to go with them. He continued to live with them until his bio mom (Maisbel) decided she wanted full custody of him and went to court (2016).

During this same time, Matt Gaetz' political star was rising as a member of the FL House of Reps. With a focus on running for US House of Reps, he couldn't risk the long-buried scandal coming out that he impregnated an underage girl and fathered a child that was shipped off to Cuba to be raised by her extended family.

To protect his reputation and career (just like dad), Matt concocted this cover story about dating Maisbel when they were both adults (her 25, him 32) and her "brother" Nestor moving from Cuba to FL to live with them when he was 12.

Because it was always a lie based on a cover-up dating back to 2002, Matt got tripped up and started saying Nestor was his "adopted son" with no blood relation, when in fact he is Nestor's bio dad.
