devalued that you can murder them and just walk free?
This is about the man who stomped the Asian woman and was videoed. He supposedly was out of jail on lifetime probation for fatally stabbing his mother.

And he wasn't only convicted for killing his mother, but for stabbing his sister.

(105,821 posts)We don't know the circumstances of when he killed his mother. If it was because of their mother-son relationship, then it wouldn't mean he's an automatic danger to others, since he has no other mother left to kill. So parole after many years could be an option, depending on his behaviour in prison.

More to your point, studies have found that the race/gender of the victim has a lot more to do with sentences than the race/gender of the perpetrator.
