Chauvin, 45, is charged with second- and third-degree murder as well as second-degree manslaughter in Floyd’s death.

He fought 3rd degree charges because his attorney thought he could beat 2nd degree and didn't want the jury to settle on 3rd because of the enormity of the act.

He's going to be guilty of something and manslaughter would be less than 10yrs.

And I will stand by my position that if murder by civilians is unlawful it should be for the State as well. Even in the most egregious cases.

Life is not a possibility as the highest charges have a 40 year maximum. If he was sentenced to consecutive terms it could effectively be life but I do not believe that it can be without parole.

1) once GF and friends knew that Cupps probably thought they knew about phony bill and refused to go in store, why didn't they just drive away?

2) cops got floyd in back of police car. Why did they drag him. Out from there? Aren't back seats secure? No handles, glass between back and driver?

And considering the esteem cops enjoy in society at large, it's not a bad bet that there's one person sitting in the jury box thinking "It's just terrible that Officer Chauvin has to be put through all this. He's suffered enough. I'll vote not guilty."

Even after all the testimony and evidence.
