Not surprised at a wacky cousin's wingnut Fundie quote, a bit about the extreme

It is just one of the ilk posts on her FB, which has led her closest nuclear family to unfriend her over years. And I make a distinction between people of spirituality and the ones who proclaim their "christianity" while spouting hatred.

So he doesn't have an individual article in Wiki, but under "The Daily Wire" entry, it's a Ben SHAPIRO spawning.

Criticism and controversies

According to Snopes, "DailyWire.com has a tendency to share stories that are taken out of context or not verified", including reports on protesters digging up Confederate graves, Democratic congresspeople refusing to stand for a fallen Navy SEAL's widow, and Harvard University holding segregated commencement ceremonies.[20] The credibility checker NewsGuard assessed that The Daily Wire "severely violates basic standards of credibility and transparency", "often misstates facts to advance partisan opinion" and "frequently publishes false and misleading information, particularly in stories about abortion".[5]

The Daily Wire published articles expressing skepticism that climate change is occurring and that humans contribute to climate change. Climate scientists have described the articles as being inaccurate and misleading.[21][22][23]

It teaches white people that they've never done anything wrong in their entire history, boys to hate girls who won't give it up to them, men to hate women seeking equality, Americans to back their country even when it is catastrophically wrong, westerners to excuse if not extol their history of enslavement and genocide, wives to accept abuse without protest or even a whimper, parents to not accept their children's growth and maturation, and children to normalize their parents' toxic disapproval of the very essence of their being if it's not acceptable to their ignorance or some ancient prejudice.

I think I can make a far better case for my paragraph than Matt can make for his.

?

I have plaques on my wall that say I won contests, and certifications that say I'm qualified to do various things, and I'm proud of those because they required some determination and effort to achieve.

But it wouldn't make sense for me to be proud of anything I've been since the day I was born, even if I regarded it as making me "better" than others, which it would not. At best I might consider myself lucky, but only because I'm spared a lot of the cruel and unjust oppression that plagues others due to what they've been since the day they were born.

If they weren't generally such ass-holes, I would be inclined to feel sorry for someone who couldn't find anything to be proud of besides being born white.

The implication is that if you're not proud of something then you hate it.

No one on the left I know feels any of those things. We don't tell ourselves pretty stories about histories and social and cultural orders.

The old 'my country, right or wrong' toast did when first made continue on with 'when right to be kept right, and when wrong to be put right'....

I couldn't Copy her FB image, so looked up the dude's thing in his other format of Twitter. If that's what's being referred to, of which I'm not sure.
