The fossil fuel industry wields an enormous amount of power, and they will not accept the loss of their subsidies quietly. They will not shy away from embracing all sorts of dirty tricks and political ratfucking in order to fight this.

I hope Biden and the Dems are aware and prepared.

A lot of refineries were damaged and went offline for awhile. That one I can believe. There are also other seasonal reasons.

Gas is always a little high where I live, which is somewhat of a resort area. It's our way of welcoming the tourists. Trouble is, it hits the locals too.
