(54,884 posts)Visa types it is 44 to 50 years of age for the cut-off in terms of a permanent Visa. The 50 to 55 exceptions are for extremely highly skilled shortage occupations or investor Visas. There is one final category that does have a loophole, the premium investor Visa, but you have to invest at least 15 million AUD (around 11.5 million USD at current FOREX rates) and be nominated by an Executive Officer of AusTrade, and have the state you are moving to waive the age requirement.

(13,659 posts)was eager for new residents, as the ad made clear, but only whites. That didnt change until much later, when they were embarrassed by the publicity generated by their racist policy. By then, they no longer were so hungry for newcomers.
