All the King's Men (TCM)

It's like they wrote a screen play in 1950(?) about Donald Trump. Lot of parallels to the Trump idea of governance. Worth a watch. The problems of a fake populist are clearly exposed.

the only difference is that Huey Long despite his numerous faults actually did some good things for the poor and average people of Louisiana. I also recommend Ken Burns American Experience on Huey Long.

BTW I taped this yesterday for viewing over the weekend. Also coming up this weekend on TCM -The Best Man by Gore Vidal where Henry Fonda and despicable, Nixon-like Cliff Robertson fight it out for 1964 Democratic Convention nomination-a classic political drama

Cuz of Dad. Point is, they knew back then that brain concussions and football injuries were a thing.
