Jill Biden pulls off April Fools' Day prank on media, staff

First lady Jill Biden played an April Fools' prank on members of the media on a flight back to Washington from California, dressing up as a flight attendant who passed out ice cream bars.

Biden, wearing a short black wig and a "Jasmine" name tag, went unnoticed during meal service.

"April Fools,” she said when she returned without the wig, according to a pool report.

The report says members of the media were fooled — but so were members of the first lady's staff.

These are the hallmarks of innocence, in contrast to the fear, deceit, and drudgery of corruption. So whenever I see leaders exhibit any one of these qualities, I expect they practice the others to some significant degree. Obama was very playful, even W was a little, the former guy, not at all. And our First Lady really knows the best way to take the mild sting out of being fooled -- ice cream!

I finally was able to take a nap and had a very vivid, well-produced dream. I was at a large business office, and struck up a conversation with this very personable teenager, who was just standing around talking to a group of office workers. I quickly realized he was Barack Obama. I asked him what year it was and he told me 1973. I had apparently time-traveled yet I had my cell phone in my pocket and told him I wanted to take his picture so he directed me to the lobby where he said his mom was picking him up. I said that would be great because I wanted his mom in the picture too. Having seen a lot of time-travel movies, I was wondering what might happen with the picture. A crowd surrounded us and somehow he and his mom disappeared but I discovered that the office was the company I currently work for and started going around to find people I might know. I went back to the group Obama was hanging out with and told them I was from the future and that the kid they were talking to would grow up to be the first African-American president of the United States. They all nodded because having spent some time with him, it seemed likely. The dream went on from there, with all kinds of fun time-travel stuff. I'm sure it was inspired by this picture so much thanks for posting it.

Because we came so close to losing our Democracy and not having President Biden and his amazing wife and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden as we do. If RG/SP been even just 1/2 way competent in anyone of the 60+ lawsuits about the made up voter fraud that would have given a judge enough cover to allow it to continue instead of being so bad they had no choice but to toss it out & dismiss it we would still have the former guy and his “I don’t really care, do you” excuse for a first lady.

The GOP thinks that they are the only rightful leaders of this country, that their way is the only way. That Dems/Progressive are weak and unfit...even though in the last 20yrs alone every catastrophe was caused by or made worse by the GOP administrations.

Dropping the ball on security and allowing 9/11 to happen, starting 2 wars (1 based in a lie), torturing humans, allowing many Americans to die due to incompetence in response to Katrina, a global economic collapse, a pandemic that has infected 30+ Million and killed 566,000+ Americans and a coup attempt to over turn a legal and legit election.

So far no GOP member has ever been held accountable for any of the actions above. All have been allowed to leave when their “service” was up. Because of this the GOP will continue to try and subvert our Democracy with lies and misinformation and as we are seeing with numerous pieces of legislation from state legislatures to suppress votes and as we continue to see with the ongoing obstruction by the new GOP Senate minority party. This must change no one is above the law not a sitting President, Senator, Representative.

I am very thankful every time I see President Biden or First Lady Dr. Jill Biden because it almost didn’t happen. Democracy is a gift given to past, present and future generations by the founding fathers. The system is not perfect, there are parts of it that are woefully inadequate for the times we live in today. Thankfully it is not written in stone and those parts can be adjusted. But it takes compromise to do that, the entire system was built on compromise...something the GOP has flatly rejected. Our system is worth fighting for, we must vote at every opportunity to do so in order to vote out the current GOP and make it a permanent minority, force it either end or get candidates that will put country 1st not party 1st.
