On the very day I received the 2nd Moderna vaccination the stimulus money was direct deposited in our account.

This is a double win for President Biden and the Democratic members of Congress. tRump couldn't even figure out how to do a direct deposit. We received that as a paper check long after others. I suppose direct deposit like wind farms causes cancer or maybe Covid-19.

Yes, Trump was a dangerous, psychopathic, criminal, heartless, egotistical putz.
And his administration was dangerous, disorganized and criminal as well.

But, just to set the record straight, hubby and I have gotten all the stimulus checks via direct deposit. None came via mail. We filed our 2019 tax returns using hubby’s bank account for the expected refund. That went according to plan along with the stimulus checks. We are both retired and have been getting SS via direct deposit since January 2019.

Congratulations on getting your money and your second Moderna Vaccine dose! You are riding high now!!

5. We here in Germany are so jealous!!

Not about the money, but getting vaccinated! Here in Germany, they are still working on people over 80. They told my wife and me that if we are lucky, we are looking at the end of August at the earliest. We are hoping to head over to the USA at the end of next week, and find a place in north Texas that can vaccinate us. In TX, they are now taking people 17 years old and older.

7. And Johnson and Johnson messed up their whole production scheme, had to throw away over

15 million shots that were messed up on the production lines. This was the shots that my doc recommended and now, I don't know if I want shots from J and J. My doctor and I wanted these shots since they only require 1 shot, not two.

J and J is going to have to do a lot of convincing now to get people interested in getting their shots from them now. Any company in my mind (IMHO) that messed up w/ so many shots in the production lines (at least these tainted shots didn't make it out into the public arena) has a lot of explaining to do.

However, they did get some credit for coming clean right away, not trying to get away with passing on tainted vaccine to the public for convenience purposes.

But here, you can't get ANYTHING unless you are a registered caregiver or over 80. Everyone I know in Texas has received vaccine. Here in Germany, we know of one caregiver and my wife's mom, who is 93.

9. Once you're here in the states you should be able to find something

The J&J would be ideal for you, since it's a one-time shot. However you'll need to explain that you're only in the states for a limited amount of time, so maybe they can arrange it for you.

For most of us, the 2nd shot is scheduled the same day we get the first one. Pfizer recipients get their 2nd shot in 3 weeks, while Moderna shots are generally 4 weeks after the first. That's why J&J would be the best for you, but you might have a little trouble finding a place that administers it.

One thing I learned is that nobody is given a choice: every place you might consider going only has one type of vaccine to administer. So it's a good idea to call around and find a place that is already giving the J&J. They are the hardest to find.

am surprised but perhaps I should not be, about the delays etc. in getting the vaccines out, I had a lot of faith in Europe especially after we all here in the US went through dealing w/ the most worthless president in history, djt the worthless.

You're right in that they did come clean (J & J), that's the only reason why I'm still considering them / their shots (only one shot required vs. two). That is remarkable, considering under rump, this probably would have been quieted down/not even mentioned as a failure. It does restore my faith in humanity somewhat, that somewhere, somehow, people actually care. Amazing that we've all been shell-shocked under rump and now, it feels like a ray of sunshine shining through the clouds. Joy!!

By the way, I know that Biden's administration has offered to deliver vaccines to both Canada and Mexico. Perhaps the US can offer a lending hand to Europe too, after all, we all do share this planet, and we all do need to watch out for each other.
