Hunter Biden recalls father chasing him down driveway during intervention

President Biden’s son Hunter Biden in a new interview opens up about his father chasing him down a driveway during an intervention for his substance abuse.

In the interview with "CBS This Morning," set to air Monday, Hunter Biden says that after a tense confrontation, he stormed out of the house and tried to get in his car and was chased down by his father.

“I tried to get into — I tried to go to my car. And my girls literally blocked the door to my car. Said, ‘Dad, Dad, please. You can’t. No, no,’” Hunter Biden says. The events took place as Biden's family sought to hold an intervention for him in Wilmington, Del., in the run up to the elder Biden's 2020 presidential campaign.

“And he grabbed me in a hug,” Hunter Biden said. “He grabbed me, gave a bear hug, and he said — and just cried and said, ‘I don’t know what to do. I don’t know what to do. Please—’”

When asked what he felt of his father’s plea, Hunter Biden says, “I thought, ‘I need to figure out a way to tell him that I’m going to do something so that I can go take another hit.’”

I really appreciate Hunter Biden laying bare his issues with addiction. And I also appreciate President Biden loving his child no matter what (as one does/should), and showing the world that. Addiction is a medical issue, not a moral failing.

How heartbreaking for both father and son. I can imagine Joe afraid he might lose another son.

He's the right guy for the nation right now. I hope his son gets control of his demons.

Just saying the name means "The Democrats are as bad as we are. Maybe worse!!"

Of course, this has no relation to reality. The Republicans could never believe that Hunter isn't being indulged at the highest levels, just like the Orange Turd's parasitic offspring.

My local police dept has a "Hope not Handcuffs" program for those in the throes of addiction

It's better than having a body bag and a distraught family.
