This is part of a growing pattern (https://on.msnbc.com/2PVIUa3): Businesses that break with Republicans on voting rights should apparently expect the GOP to pursue retaliatory steps.

Rep. Jeff Duncan
@RepJeffDuncan
In light of @MLB's stance to undermine election integrity laws, I have instructed my staff to begin drafting legislation to remove Major League Baseball's federal antitrust exception.

has done on protecting elections from foreign actors? Its not like the FBI has not warned that, that's a threat. Last I heard, no one from the FBI said giving a bottle of Dasani or slice of pizza was a security risk.

And, not just because of his delusion that his idiotic bill has a chance in hell of reaching the floor. He's not right in the head. Bat. Shit. Crazy.

It's that simple. It's way past time for you to do the right thing and start paying your fair share in taxes so the American people have the resources to survive!

https://www.bleedcubbieblue.com/2019/12/18/21020668/baseball-antitrust-exemption-mlb-milb-rob-manfred-congress

Every time something happens in baseball that gets the attention of Congress, the possibility is floated that Congress might take away baseball’s antitrust exemption. That never happens. Why should baseball be concerned that it actually might this time?

This quote was made concerning MLB wanting to shut down 42 minor league teams years ago..and Bernie Sanders was involved - this whole issue re MLB anti-trust exception goes way back to 1922, and this article captures the soup to nuts surrounding MLB anti-trust exception...phew...
