I'm already tired of the question and the required followup explanation
It's going to be easier to just lie and say "yes", than accept the judgement and spend 5 minutes discussing my medical history with a skeptical and virtue signaling busybody.
(My Doctor has advised me to NOT get vaccinated because of my prior history with adverse reactions to prior vaccines. Including a severe reaction which left me hospitalized)

(13,951 posts)I will make sure everyone around me is vaccinated because, unlike you, 99.9% of people who won't get the vaccine are anti-science idiots.

Even then it can be awkward (I have some conservative friends).

(7,409 posts)Personally I wouldn't give my doctor the easy out and would press him on it a bit. There a big differences between the mRNA and viral vector versions.

(6,137 posts)those who are around you so you can be somewhat protected. We are dealing with rapidly mutating lethal virus, so the vaccine status question is very important. I am happy to hear you get asked this question. Just say you wish you could get it. I am pushing my employer to require testing for the unvaccinated (among other restrictions). Employers generally cannot mandate vaccination, especially EUA but they sure can mandate routine covid testing for the unvaccinated.

My sis has same thing.
Luckily she only had a few days of being very tired for second shot.

(14,853 posts)... but I've had the 1st dose of Moderna with no reaction other than a slightly sore arm one day later.
The pharmacy didn't even ask me about a penicillin allergy, so I just did a Google-search and found nothing about it.
Here's one site with an interesting tidbit:
Have allergies? Worried about COVID-19 vaccine? Dont be.
https://newsroom.uw.edu/postscript/have-allergies-worried-about-covid-19-vaccine-dont-be
----------
Paauw (pronounced pow) suspects that, eventually, the allergic reaction rate to the COVID-19 vaccines will be one per 1 million people. Other medications, including penicillin, have higher rates of causing severe allergic reactions.
The chance of dying if you take penicillin is much higher, and few worry about getting an antibiotic in this country, he said.

(2,133 posts)I was just a kid... but no one seemed to mind chatting about it.
Have you had a flu shot?
Are you old enough to get the pneumonia shot?
Have you had the shingles vaccination?
When did you have your booster for tetanus, etc?
Let's just say 'yes' to all of the questions?? It would just be easier.
(Let me know when they come up with a vaccine for being a smartass... I'll have to go to the front of the line).

I like to be informed regarding the vaccination situation with close proximity coworkers strictly in the interest of self-preservation.

Read the original post if you need to understand why.
And guess what? Every time you drive your car you put others at risk of death.

(16,352 posts)To not be able to get it because of health issues is one thing but having to see and hear everyone else talk about theirs must really be trying at times. I know it cant be easy, that is for sure
