I am tired of people being stupid. IT clearly states on the doors Masks MUST BE WORN
Security is right there handing them out...........
I have both shots and 3 weeks after so I am immunized BUT we are so very close to beating this and even when the guard at the entrance gives them masks they end up in the rows without it.
Tonight I got so pissed I started taking pictures of those not wearing masks.
my other thought was to take my vape and blow it in their face.
GOD I am so pissed.

Also take a picture of the signs saying MASK REQUIRED.
Could the pictures be printed out and put in strategic locations ?

(31,261 posts)To me, they really dont exist in any form other than a dumbassed obstacle that I need to avoid.
Ms. Toad
(33,992 posts)and for exteding the duration of the pain for the rest of us. They are not just an obstacle to avoid. They are a real danger, and there needs to be a response that improves compliance. I just haven't figured out what that is yet.
Blue_true
(31,261 posts)deal with them. As a private citizen, all I can do is not let them infect me. When I see one, if I cant physical distance, I move out of their expired air ASAP. The only alternative is an argument and potentially a fistfight (if they even chose to use fists). In Florida, with the rabid gun culture, that is not a safe choice.

(33,992 posts)enforcement is not happening via private businesses and the government.
I'm still contemplating taking photos, but what I would do would be to send them to the government entities as proof of failure by the business to enforce the health orders/ordinances. Right now - they don't seem to be responsive to resports of failure to enforce.

(31,261 posts)You can be very discreet with your phone, even if they notice you, they wouldnt know that you took a photo, and if they ask, just tell them that you see things better on your phone when you hold it up in light.

(14,852 posts)I doubt that they think that way, of course. They're mostly just being selfish.
Yet that kind of behavior could indeed make it worse for everybody, even the vaccinated.
The longer that a virus survives and spreads among hosts, the greater the odds of a random genetic mutation that is much more lethal.

(33,992 posts)The store was in a city with an ordinance that prohibits transacting business (indoors) with anyone not wearing a mask and requires businesses to enforce mask orders, in a county with a health order that requires businesses to enforce the mask order, and a state with a mask order - requiring businesses to enforce the mask order.
About 20 customers, more than 10 unmasked. Including a police officer (for the city with the ordinance). Not only did he inform one of the unmasked individuals that businesses were entitled to make their own rules as a private business, he was unmasked.
I asked him why he wasn't wearing a mask. He told me he was just waiting for his order. I reminded him he was in a city with a mask ordinance, a county with a mask order, and a state with a mask order and asked, again, why he wasn't wearing a mask. He grudgingly pulled up a gaitor to just below his nose and muttered at me "For all the good it is going to do."
Thoughts after the incident:
I got away with the pissing contest with the cop because I'm a white female.
I should have asked him if I could punch him in the face inside the store because it was a private business & the law doesn't apply insice private businesses.
Cops have identifiers - so I at east have the minor satisfaction that there are now two reports (state and county) calling him out for violating the law.
But - I'm so done with people who can't take minor steps to protect others for long enough to get this beast under control. Yes. I hate it - but I'm complying (and have been since the first week in March in 2020). I'm sick and tired of all of these restrictions - but these maskholes who are refusing to put up with a bit of inconvenience are extending my misery.

(12,462 posts)And the county I live in right now has the highest covid infection numbers in the state.
I told him to put on a mask. He walked past me ,and kept walking, out of the store thankfully.
I ain't gonna be silent to maskholes, not when the danger of a surge is as high as it is,and not when my county has such a high infection/ hospitalization rate.
Glad I have at least one shot of moderna in me. Second shot is on the 5th.

(58,785 posts)And maybe they should also still be wearing masks, but it's now a mistake to assume that everyone without a mask is willing to spread disease.
You need a new plan. Find a group making good trouble or just doing nice things and join those people.
