Religion has been declining in the US, especially among young people, and white evangelicals who put politics ahead of Jesus are one reason. You can’t claim to be walking the Christian walk and turn a blind eye to a president who ordered children to be taken from parents, with many sent to other parts of the country with no trace of their whereabouts. You’re a hypocrite when you ignore thousands of Trump lies when your Bible has dozens of verses calling them sins and abominations while choosing to use a couple of Bible verses as your justification for your right to discriminate against LGBTQ or even to take away their civil rights.
