Never forget
we live in a society
where Rutgers University paid Snooki $32k to speak
and they paid Toni Morrison $30k.

Morrison's agent: "Our fee is 30k to speak."

Rutgers: "Okay"

Snookis agent: "Our fee is 32k to speak."

Rutgers: "Okay"

Internet Brain: "This shows how bad Rutgers and society is"

Never mind that Morrison was in 2011 and Snooki was in 2017.

Considering there's an entire business that deals with speakers fess - we all remember the brouhaha over this with Hilary Clinton, don't we? - this comes back to the familiar problem of women often not asking for all that they're worth. Or perhaps Morrison has a lower level so that she can speak to a wider variety of places. or any other number of things.

But the tweet itself is just pretty fucking stupid.
