Pepsi is on the spot now. How will they handle this?

Trump Supporters Condemn 'Woke-a-Cola,' Will Drink Pepsi Instead

It seems to me that Pepsi can stay silent and thereby imply that they welcome Trump supporters, believe the Big Lie, and endorse voter suppression bills; or they can side with Coke and condemn voter suppression. As a typical large corporation I'm sure they'll make the decision that they expect to maximize their profits, but I wonder what that decision will be.

are in NY - not in a state which passes voter suppression laws. There is no need for Pepsi to involve itself in the mess Georgia made for itself by passing this law.,

Meanwhile, while Coke eventually came out against the law, they have done nothing concrete to change anything or do anything in Georgia regarding this matter. People who understand this are not going to reward Coke based on a meaningless statement.

just remind them - repeatedly - that they are switching over to a New York based company that they previously called to boycott.

"Trump supporters on social media platforms such as YouTube, Twitter and Facebook pounced on parts of her remarks, calling for a boycott of PepsiCo's products. Some comments referred to the ethnicity of Nooyi, who was born in India. Kellan Terry, a data analyst for the analytics firm Brandwatch, said in an email that mentions of the #BoycottPepsi hashtag had grown to more than 19,000 as of early afternoon Tuesday, after beginning on Saturday. Due to other Trump-related hashtags, Terry said, "there is no question that supporters of Donald Trump are now controlling" those conversations."

"Oh, so you'll be sending money to New York instead of Georgia?" Let their heads explode. We know how much they hate New York!

And I'd guess that they do plenty of it in the form of campaign donations outside of NYS.

Anyway, NYS voters like me are affected by voter suppression in GA. Voter suppression anywhere in this country affects people everywhere in this country.

I remember seeing pictures of Sarah Palin and other conservatives proudly holding up their Chick-Fil-A sacks and to-go Cokes and thinking, "Didn't Coke release a statement a while back about supporting the LGBTQ community? Shouldn't we tell people like Sarah this? Can I be the one to tell her, please?"
