Trump issues Easter greetings by attacking political rivals, griping about election loss

WASHINGTON – Former President Donald Trump marked Easter weekend by attacking his political enemies, repeating false claims about the election, and calling for a boycott of Major League Baseball and other corporations that oppose Georgia's new election law.

"Happy Easter to ALL, including the Radical Left CRAZIES who rigged our Presidential Election, and want to destroy our Country!" Trump said in a written statement early Sunday.

There is no evidence anyone "rigged" last year's election; political analysts said Trump keeps promoting the false idea in order to justify his loss to President Joe Biden, and to raise money for another possible presidential campaign in 2024.

"Ex President Trump with an Easter Sunday message of resentment and rage," tweeted political commentator David Frum.

I decided, once and for all, whether the negativity, anger, hatred, stupidity, and ignorance I perceive in others are the actual causes of my annoyance—warranting my criticism, resentment, and retribution—or rather are the causes only of their own suffering, and so deserve nothing but my compassionate and skillful response. If I do not decide this, from the core of my heart, I shall remain only half a decent and virtuous person, at best.

It is our strong presumption and habit to imagine that the words and actions of others are based on the same defiled thoughts and motivation as our own, like the baby deer, stamping her hoof defiantly at her reflection in the glass door of the temple.

Willingly suspending the belief that everyone I meet necessarily thinks like me is the glass doorway that allows entry to the halls of grace and devotion, wherein a realized being may transfer her blessings.

...commend and admire you for that.

I have tried to feel sorry for him, based on what apparently was a significantly damaging childhood, but I just can’t do it. Maybe, if he were not such a destructive individual I might be able to muster a scintilla of empathy, but he grinds everything he touches to dust, with no remorse, and I just can’t do it.

you might try holding the aspiration to pity him on some future day. He is not a happy man, but a deeply deeply damaged man. He keeps cultivating all that ugliness and hatred, so that it has become an entrenched very bad habit. Like drinking or drug addiction. Having compassion for an asshole is not the same as giving him a free pass to being a degenerate jerk.

He will get his come-uppance. Justice is an ancient virtue.

Your country of hatred and divisiveness, we want to destroy it.

Your country of selfishness, we want to destroy it.

Your country of the impoverished and oppressed, we want to destroy it.

Your country of punitive victors, we want to destroy it.

Your country of corruption, we want to destroy it.

Your country of cheap pseudo-patriotism, we want to destroy it.

You will die sick, bitter, disappointed, and alone. The country will live on, a better place for your passing.

...in the universe.

If he were an astronomical black hole, he would have destroyed the entire universe by sucking every atom into himself. Such is his insatiable need for attention.

his election loss with Jesus' crucifixion, since it's Easter. But if you follow that particular theology, Jesus rose again while Trump will not. He'll just stew in his own juices until he finally dies of atherosclerosis and rage.

from his minor child. That poor kid probably has never not heard him whine and whine his whole life. Would be nice to get him a dog, because they make us better humans. Not that he will.
