Despite it being over a year into the COVID-19 pandemic, still not everyone is on board with mask guidelinesliterally speaking.
In a viral TikTok post, an anti-mask couple is removed from a flight for refusing to comply with the airline's safety protocols.
The video, posted by user @b_edler56 and discreetly filmed from a few rows back, shows the couple arguing with a flight attendant.
Since the footage starts mid-conflict, the context for the argument is unknownbut when the video starts, the woman is already heated. ............(more)

(24,328 posts)The only thing I can think of is, they refused until they were told to get off the plane, and then they decided they would wear them. And by then, it was too late

(21,335 posts)You see the same thing in stores. People wear a mask on entering, then pull it down to their neck after they get past the entrance. If they see a store employee, they pull the mask up briefly, then pull it down again later.
So if the passenger in the video wore a mask when boarding and pulled it down later, and only pulled it back up when the flight attendant showed up, I understand and approve of the attendant telling her to leave. This is the kind of person who would remove the mask as soon as they were airborne, since they can't make her leave at that point.

(14,852 posts)... one of my "comparative economics" classes in school, which was one of the many general education requirements at my university.
One of the students was apparently going to school on the GI Bill, since he loved mentioning that he'd previously served in the Army. He was so insanely disruptive in that class, repeatedly accusing the professor of trying to turn us against America. Meanwhile, the professor was always polite and soft-spoken, explaining it was a course that explored alternative economic ideas. It persisted throughout two entire lectures, then started again during the third one.
I hit my boiling point with that guy and I was seconds away from yelling at him, but another student beat me to the punch and yelled, "Why don't you shut the fuck up so the rest of us can finally learn something in this class?!"
Then Army-guy stood up and yelled back, which caused an avalanche of other students to do the same to him. He finally walked out of the classroom as every other student was clapping and cheering his departure. (He never returned.)
The professor was silent during the entire conflict, and then he resumed teaching the course.

That was back in the late-80's. He was red-faced and flipped us the bird as he walked out the door, like the woman in this video.

Where do they get this stuff? I thought I had heard every conspiracy theory they had dreamed up so far! Then this. It has been scientifically debunked, but right wingers don't care about science.
