https://www.denverpost.com/2021/04/05/mlb-all-star-game-moved-coors-field/The 2021 MLB All-Star Game is coming to Colorado.
Just days after Major League Baseball decided to move the game out of Georgia, a league source says MLB is expected to announce the game will be moved to Denver this July.
The All-Star Game was last played in Denver in the summer of 1998.

(10,500 posts)But the All Star Game was held there in 2006. That is more recent then they like. They are trying to give each MLB a turn. Coors Field last hosted the MLB All Star Game in 1998.
PNC Park will probably get the game again in the 2030s.

It's hard for me to compare PNC Park because I've only seen maybe 5 or 6 other baseball stadiums/parks. However ours is very nice and it has a great location.

(102,423 posts)Like Atlanta, Denver has a black mayor, albeit Keisha is a lot more "on the ball," but unlike Georgia, Colorado has one hell of a lot more transparency in state government. So, your point?

(102,423 posts)What part of that do you not get? The city may not be as diverse as some, but the population is a lot more democratic and far less racist-- as shown by its democratic growth in recent decades and its disavowal of racist figures of the past, including historical governors and others who abused Native Americans or fought for segregation--or were sympathetic to the confederacy. A city that rallied behind its BLM demonstrations--not one trying to criminalize democratic protests.
Not to mention, Denver was DUE. Has not hosted since 1998. AND, Denver is 32% Hispanic. While I agree with the importance of diversity and agree that AA makes up a comparatively small percentage of the population in Colorado (10.2% in Denver), but diversity is not ONLY about African American minorities.

(6,041 posts)CO has voter ID they say and also bringing up the 'Whiter" state. They are shitting all over themselves in order to make it look like a mistake for the Dems.
Good luck with that, idiots.

Yeah, tell me something more, a'holes. Denver may only have 10.2% AA, but, like CO in general, has a rapidly growing Hispanic population that already makes up 32% of Denver's population. So, I DO call that diverse and sizeable (and growing) population with respect to POC.
