5. Let's worry about what we know

Not what we hope or think may be true.

We know a lot of people took part in an armed insurrection on 1/6. Let’s keep the focus on them.

I n the past few weeks here on DU, I have seen people accusing Capitol Police as being active participants in the Insurrection, that Members of Congress were Active Participants, that Members led recon tours, that a USCP officer committed suicide because of his involvement in the insurrection, that a Metropolitan Police officer killed himself as he was Part of the Insurrection, that someone erased tapes that could be evidence to Members leading tours for recon of the insurrection, that an officer was killed in a blue in blue shooting last Friday, that a USCP officer was stabbed to death last Friday, Jesus people we are close to becoming Q-light here. Let’s stick to the facts and not what we think....

That much we know.

You possibly saw a video of a Capitol PO waving for fellow POs to fall back.

it hasn't been determined yet conclusively who he was waving to.

I find it interesting that you believe he was waving towards traitors and dismissed other possibilities.

People believe what they want to believe I guess.

It's human nature for people to accept without question that which reinforces their worldview even if it isn't factual and reject that which doesn't reinforce their worldview even if it is true,

Rep. Mikie Sherrill, D-N.J., has said she saw "members of Congress who had groups coming through the Capitol ... a reconnaissance for the next day."

I don’t know that she knew what the groups were actually doing. There were secret service agents and press entities there for pre electoral count walk through sand a lot of people doing their pre inaugural walk through as it was only a couple weeks away. Also, earlier in the week, two days earlier, new members were sworn in and had people with them. A blind eye is often given on swearing in day for family and friends. Although during a pandemic, this year was similar with people given that leeway.

Now, two Democratic lawmakers say they personally saw one Republican — Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado — with a “large” group in a tunnel connected to the Capitol days before the attempted insurrection that left four rioters and one police officer dead.

That enough Senators would be so intimidated and scared that they would change the results of the election and keep him in power?

Did he really think that?

public at the start - no consequences for negligent homicide, IMHO.

You know what's kind of ironic, spanone, what's had the biggest effect on him? Is the Twitter ban. The company that gave him all the oxygen to begin with. Without a huge audience he may never make a resurgence. Hope they hold strong.
