They have Resees Cups on sale!

Seriously I get the flu shot 80% of the time anyway. I've had reactions twice in 60 years. Another time when traveling abroad I got a history of far east and tropical vaccinations that time kicked my butt. Not afraid of a normal reaction, almost expect it. I get a little extra time in bed is all. People have to stop being pussies over it is all.

Resees Cups, mmmmmmmm.

My friend from California says his country was pro-active and made it easy. It took me two weeks of hunting and filling out the same form 7 times a day electronically. Worse than trying to get concert tickets.

The burocratic part of the process discourages people.

I was in/out in just over 15 mins including the post-shot waiting period. Only had a sore upper arm for less than a day.

we called the number and they scheduled our whole family at the same time yesterday. (DH, me, and 18 and 20 year old sons).

So, first dose down. Boy howdy I was tired last night and dizzy for several hours, but today I feel great.

I was cussing a lot as I kept trying to find an opening for my first dose in Ohio.

There weren't any forms to fill out, but just loads of approved vaccination sites that people were supposed to keep checking for available vaccines. No centralized management of it at all!

There was only one place on the list that even bothered to take your basic information, to contact you after they had an appointment available. All of the other websites simply told you to keep checking! It took hours to go through them all, partly because some websites would waste your time in various ways only to finally announce, "Sorry! We have no appointments available at this time!"

Then my county's public health agency suddenly had openings for the following week. So I made an appointment through them. Shortly thereafter, a pharmacy within walking distance also had openings the next week, so I cancelled the other appointment and chose that option instead.

I hope it's more centrally organized in Ohio now! Good grief, what a ridiculous waste of a person's time to keep searching across dozens of different websites!

Happy for you, wherever you are!

Making a road trip to another state. Took me all of five minutes to make the appointment once I decided to go out of state where I could be eligible. Wish I’d thought of it earlier!

Hopefully if I've any bad reactions, I can recover before I have to go pick them up that afternoon.
The Walgreen's isn't the closest (15 miles in the wrong direction frome anywhere) but I need the vaccination, I hate gambling with death cult trumpeters in the other side of the family.
Laz still can't drive, the neighbors work, and a Lyft is expensive.
