JUST NOW: Tishaura Jones WINS mayoral election in St. Louis.

She ran as the most progressive candidate in the primary & the runoff: includes support for ending cash bail, decriminalizing sex work, closing Workhouse jail, & more.

She's the 1st black woman elected as mayor here.

And everything more than 50 miles from downtown is midnight and noon.

It's like dropping Los Angeles in the middle of Kansas. And those of us that live on this side of the line, full well understand that if not for Chicago, Illinois isn't blue by a damn sight...its West Indiana.

I'm happy about this for the city. It's probably not indicative of getting rid of Hawley
