Not entirely sure why that is a piece of gym equipment. I am Shields age, and it looks like a very bad idea to me. Hope she mends.

Geez. I'm glad Shields is speaking out on her experience. I guess I'm not unhappy that my chronically bad ankle keeps me from even thinking about trying that and balance is a long-term concern, but there are much safer ways to work on it.

hip to my knee and a bunch of screws holding my femur together. The pain when you first try to use the leg is terrible and learning to walk again is as if you never walked before. It takes determination and patience. She's got a real challenge and I wish the best for her.

I'd NEVER use one of those things. And those "hover board" things... insane.

But we had hand rails to hold on to at least on one side. It's a good way to strengthen back and leg muscles when dealing with back pain. And is great for keeping limber for things like skiing. But she should have been using the cushion, perhaps.
