for all possible violations, crimes, etc.
My questions:
A) Was it granted but not publicized?
B) If Trump didn't grant it, then why not?
C) Gaetz was looking for pardons for potential allegations/indictments in his past (not yet filed in criminal court). If Trump had granted him that pardon, why would he leave out Ivanka, Junior, and/or Eric?

(31,640 posts)it will turn out worse for the GQP, the Grand Q Pervert Party. Protecting a child molester isn't going to go over well with normal people who aren't zombies.

(8,651 posts)it went nowhere. The white house aides nixed it because it was so broad it was a bit much even for the Trump whitehouse.
Thats what was reported on O"Donnel by Michael Schmidth , the New York times reporter who broke the story.

(46,067 posts)Pardons can and are granted to absolve individuals who the president declares to have been unjustly or wrongly charged or convicted.

(71,402 posts)... keep him from being tempted, Barr knew there was no hiding or claiming the prosecution was political, so a pardon was going to be very controversial. Maybe it was felt letting Gaetz dangle slowly in the wind would take attention away from the exPresident*.
If Gaetz had a super secret get out of jail card, now would be the time to use it. Also, he'd be subpoenaed without benefit of his 5th amendment rights if he had been pardoned for the crimes others are going to be prosecuted for.

It would be impossible to make it stick in court.
