(14,680 posts)Trumps words and actions have no connection to each other. He never boycotted CNN and the networks and MSM print publications (because he desperately wanted to see what why were saying about him); nor the NFL if he wanted to see the game; and he certainly aint giving up his Diet Coke addiction.
Hes like a guy I know who proclaims to all that he is a vegetarian, but give him a few beers at a cook-out and youll catch him sneaking a hamburger or hot dog.

(867 posts)Happy to report that we will now have a 6 to 1 progressive majority on our City Council. 6 women and 1 man! And our Plastic Bag ban passed with 59% of the vote.
The one race that we lost was 4 progressives against 1 conservative. The conservative won with 30% of the vote. This will be our test case and poster child as we push for Ranked Choice Voting!!!!!
Thru lots of candidate surveys and forums, we know that 6 of the 7 on the new Council will support Ranked Choice Voting and Public Financing of Elections!
I'm REALLY looking forward to advocating for these changes over the next 2 years (until the next election).
Wish me luck!
