3. Please update your title to reflect it's the NC senate and not

ALL of North Carolina that supports this measure.

Also important to note, we have a Democrat for a governor, Roy Cooper. He's an attorney who previously served as the 49th Attorney General of NC and he will more likely than not, veto this nonsense.

Plus, Republicans don’t have the numbers in the NCGA to overturn a veto. Thank Dog!

6. "gender assigned at birth" ? WTF?

Gender is not physiological characteristics. It is what we are taught psychologically and socially that correlates to our outward sexual characteristics. Gender is also our inner feelings about who we are and how we see ourselves sexually and socially. We aren't "assigned" a gender, we are taught to do things within a framework of gender. There are, of course physiological and biological traits that are different between males and females, and that is obviously within a wide range of traits and should include people who are anywhere along the spectrum of differences. The problem within society is that people like these Republican idiots, think that social roles must be strictly linked to limited and simplistic identities using those characteristics AND, they ascribe differing and often subservient status to "female" characteristics and roles.
