I am not to young anymore!!

Got a text telling me I now qualify for the COVID-19 vaccination!!

I went to My Chart to sign up but it would not allow me because the site had not caught up with the change so I called Providence and after 10 minutes of being on ignore someone told me what was going on with the site and then set up my appointment. I am getting vaccinated on Thursday the 8th at 11:15!!

It turns out from the info I got from the person I spoke with that everybody ( at least all adults ) with providence qualify. I am not sure if it is Providence everywhere or just in Washington state.

After finding out this info I wanted to share with anyone who might still be having problems and hope this info would help them.

I just can't believe I am happy and excited to get a shot. I hate needles. Just saying.

3. FWIW, when I got my first jab I felt nothing. I was surprised when he said it was done.

With the 2nd one, I felt a little pressure when the needle went in, but no pain. Just keep your mind on the relief you'll feel when it's done.

There are masks that say that also.

I will wait until after my shot tomorrow to see if it hurts or not.

I tend to be hypersensitive to pain so. Hypersensitivity is something that can be part of ADHD so we will see.

I will go in with the attitude that it won't hurt though.

7. Had the first Pfizer jab and barely felt it nor did Mrs GoS. Our arms were a bit sore the next day.

Getting the second jab in two weeks.

Here's some advice: Drink lots of water both before and after. Apparently helps.

There's also an article about sodium intake and Covid19 from NIH that was very interesting.

Is low sodium intake a risk factor for severe and fatal COVID-19 infection?

As of March 16th, the number of deaths due to the coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) outside of China has surpassed those in China. Intriguingly, recent calculations that adjust for an incubation period of up to 14 days estimate that the mortality rates from COVID-19 infection in China are nearly three times lower than outside of China. It should be realized that, amongst others differences, China is known for having very high sodium intake compared to other countries in the world. Human pathogenic coronaviruses bind to their target cells through angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 receptor (ACE2), which is expressed in epithelial cells of the lung, intestine, kidney, and blood vessels. Importantly, animal-based studies have demonstrated that the tissue expression of the ACE2 receptor is down-regulated in response to a high dietary sodium intake .

This is only the first paragraph.

I just got my first dose this week as an older Millennial. There were a lot of appointments available in Sonoma County. Most of the people there were my age or younger.

It’s starting to trickle down.
