Chauvin trial: "Chauvin's knee wasn't really on George Floyd's neck after all!!"

I suppose this is the "spaghetti meet wall defense."

After Nelson finishes his cross-examination of prosecution witnesses one never is sure what the point was.

Does whether the knee was an inch higher or lower make a difference?

A man ended up dead and but for the actions of Chauvin that man would not have died that day.

6. I'd use a lot of words to describe this defense, but Robust is nowhere on that list

7. Yeah, I think the presentation of the defense as hapless and stupid in this case

Unfortunately for him, I think the prosecution redirect is very effective.

10. I agree. The constant 'would you agree' is annoying as hell. And I've only watched bits and pieces.

I’d be tempted to answer as the witness, “let’s just stipulate that I don’t agree with anything you say, ok? Just ask me the question.” I know I couldn’t do this, but jaysus, this guy.

I think he is doing his job as best he can since his client’s actions are indefensible.

11. Same. And the point of a defense attorney isn't to defend the person's actions. It's to plant doubt

in the mind of exactly one juror. That's all.

3. The prosecutor always does a great job pulling things back together, on redirect

Chauvin showed absolutely not an iota of concern. It was as if the people alerting him just made him all the more determined to bear down.

I wish they had been able to bring his record into evidence. 17 investigations by internal affairs. Kind of seems like he has attitude 'issues'.
