So is Trump ever going to prison?
Even after 1/6 happened? Seems like in only 4 months people already forgot and moved on.

And I sure hope that I am wrong.

Painfully so.. I hope. Which would be a prison to him and his ilk

10. Melania is a lifer. Biggest mistake people make (not saying you did) is thinking that she somehow
just tolerates Trump and isn't really a nazi fuck at heart. She is all that and more. She would have the hired help bake pies for a lynching if they came back into vogue in Florida. Plus, the slag would CHARGE the lynching crowds for the pie, in true Trumpian grifter fashion.

18. I never mistook her for a caring individual
But there is plenty of footage out there of her swatting away Trump's outstretched hand, not to mention how her facial expressions betray her scorn for him.
I thought she'd bolt after the presidential run was over for the sake of not being attached to someone she clearly detests. But, maybe you're right, she might believe there's some more self-gains she can milk out of the relationship, as painful as it must be. |

7. Rich white males don't go to prison
unless, like Bernie Madoff and Michael Milkin (pardoned by Trump) they cause other rich white males to lose money.
The worst that will happen is he will get hit with huge fines. |

8. It appears to me that this entire crime family will continue to be free as a bird forever
I see a little mention about investigations in Manhattan on the tax thing... a couple of months ago the best crime boss prosecutor was hired to cross all the T's and dot the i's. Michael Cohen attended over a half dozen interviews etc etc, but everything has gone silent.
That asshole is still free to pretend he's the real president, and he'll be back in 2024! All the fraudulent fundraising. none of this shit should be going on anymore. but it is. this just cannot stand anymore, but it is. |

12. I doubt it. He'll do everything to run out the clock as a free man
My hope is that he becomes such a social pariah during the rest of his life that the only places that will still cheer him at speeches will be small fundamentalist churches in small, hard-to-get-to towns in rural parts of Tennessee, Mississippi or Idaho.
If everywhere else would just shun him, that would crush him. He’d be nothing more than a well-known receptionist at Mierda Lago. I don’t think Melania would divorce him, either. I think she will avoid being around him, like she did during his time in office (more like out of the office). But I think she probably signed a pre-nup that leaves her high and dry if she leaves first. |

Even Hillary Clinton never mentioned prison for him. She simply stated, months ago prior to the election. that she hoped he'd be out of the White House and then spend the remainder of his life on golf courses.

21. 0.0% chance he ever sees the inside of a prison cell
In America, we do not jail ex Presidents, period. Being President is basically a get out of jail free card for life.
He could face sanctions, he could face fines against his business interests, but jail will never even be on the table. What people don't get is that jailing Trump would be like Republicans jailing Obama for some made up reason for 40% of the country. They would think of it the same way, even though here we all know Trump is guilty of hundreds of crimes and Obama none. Can you imagine the violence in the streets if Republicans took control of the government and threw Obama in jail for no reason at all? |

27. I doubt it. He won't suffer by having his lifestyle degraded, either.
He's got the resources (real and imagined) to drag this out until way past his expiration date. I picture him, lying in his overstuffed bed, checking out much like John Foster Kane did -- whispering "McChicken" as his lifeless hand falls and a Big Mac rolls across the floor.

29. Don't rush the law's procedures
You seem to be in a hurry.
Shall we not gather evidence, testimony or even check phone records? For all those who think the Trump cases are moving too slowly for Americans to remember a crime may have been committed. For those folks, let me apologize right here, right now... We are so sorry that the American legal system isn't run like a McDonald's drive thru. We try to complete entire investigations, trials and appeals within that precious 5min time frame you may be expecting. Next time, we'll try harder to convict and imprison a potential criminal while the french fries are still hot. While your waiting in line, at your favorite drive thru, let me provide you with some interesting, and factual information about Trump's legal case. This link is the case that sought his tax records, which SCOTUS forced Trump, like they did with Nixon....to hand over the documents. Enjoy the reading. https://ag.ny.gov/press-release/2020/attorney-general-james-takes-action-force-trump-organization-comply-ongoing |

I'm tired of the continuous reports of all the massive evidence that has been collected, concerning his wrongdoing. Let's have some action.

he won't even face any actual consequences.
I wish I believed otherwise, but that's our system, you have the money or people perceive you as a "rich guy" you get away with everything. He could murder a bunch of toddlers on life TV and people would make excuses and there would be no charges. |

36. IF he is ever charged,
It will take a couple years for the trial to start.
IF he is convicted, there will be an appeal which will take a couple more years. Repeat as necessary. During all of this he will be free pending 'final' outcome. So the answer to the question is- no. |

38. The AG and prosecutors in New York State would like to say yes
However they can't charge him for the insurrection/riot in January. They're mainly focusing on back unpaid taxes, false filings and other crimes that were committed in their jurisdiction. Only Attorney General Merrick Garland and the Dept. of Justice would be able to pursue federal charges against Chump.
So it's really 2 different questions: Will NY state charges stick? Will federal action also be pursued? ![]() ![]() ![]() |
