I guess I have just about reached my limit in dealing with the utter naked STUPIDITY

in which the nation seems awash.

I have just heard a know-it-all speaking to someone who had a reaction to their vaccination say that "Yeah, they wouldn't even test it in RATS, but they will stick it in your arm!"

I just can't be expected to treat these Trump-humping ignoramuses as anything short of an existential threat.

"Be civil?"

Not any more. These people NEED to be offended.

because their entire being and self worth is based entirely and purely on their money !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think about people I know who are wealthy or rich. If somehow they lost it all, they would never be able to land on their feet and survive. Never in a million years.........

During the stock market crash a century ago, it was reported that a lot of people on wall street and bankers jumped out of windows.
I don't know if that is true, but I can easily believe it to be a fact..........

The trust fund kids that I know, have absolutely no sense of accomplishment. None what so ever. They are all deeply insecure at some inner level. Their entire lives have been handed to them on a silver platter from day one. They never had to do anything or work at anything, so they never had the feeling of accomplishing anything. Their entire sense of self worth is in the crapper.
It is no small wonder they cling to the only thing keeping them afloat.....their money.......
It is indeed sad to watch these pathetic people, but even sadder to watch them try to actively destroy the rest of us, just so they can stay on the top. THAT is indeed nauseating............

that my kids are both enlightened, and they seem to be staying that way as they grow older. They’ve been old enough, for at least a decade, to be beyond any supervisory guidance or direct influence from either their dad or me. And they’re still making the correct decisions and conclusions.

Thank you, Dear God!

But I do have a niece who’s gone down the CON rabbit hole with her trumper husband, but her brother is far more liberal and connected to reality, fortunately enough. He now sees his sister as a lost cause.

I often wonder how many families across the U.S. are torn apart and broken by this trump-induced nightmare.

I had so many Life Time Friends that I have had to separate from who drank the Kool aide......truly gut wrenching.
The worst part? You can't even discuss anything with them......The are absolutely oblivious to any form of reason or rationale thought.
The psychiatrists I have talked to have come around to believing that they have been indeed brainwashed by the Right Wing, Via listening to nothing except Fox News and Right Wing radio, 24/7, the past 10+ years......Good people, who have been brainwashed to HATE..............It is like a massive RepubliCON PSY-OPS attack............

Sadly, I am not at all optimistic about the future. I think we have passed the point of no return after 40 years of the RepubliCONs shit..
They have an un-fathomable amount of money to finance their destruction of this nation, it's people, and Democracy. Their most recent administration has given them TONS more.

It is beyond obvious from their actions these past four decades that they want to install a ruling class at the very top, with the 99% becoming serfs and peasants......

They are truly millimeters away from installing a FASCIST CORPORATE TYRANNY, and being this near their goal, they will stop at nothing.

I’m ready for a separation or possibly a divorce. My patience with the Republican viewpoint evaporated many years ago, and I view them as nothing but a drag on our future as a country anyone would want to live in. I commented on another post that I’m ready for an EU-type arrangement with open borders and commerce but separate governments. Not sure what we would do with the military, but I’m tired of living in a country where 40% or so of the population believes in conspiracies, worships a sexual predator, and prefers to ignore the common good in favor of personal irresponsibility while also trying to regulate the actions of people they don’t like.

I live in a Blue State and try to avoid spending money that will eventually end up in Red State government hands.

And yes, I understand nuances, like.....

- There are many fine people who live in Red States, or Blue parts of Red States.
- A Trumper in a Blue State can own a business, while their Red State competitor is a normal person.

My objective is to just run my life in a way where I’m true to my own values, but without it becoming too burdensome.

Also shutting down home-schooling except when medically necessary. All those fundies educated at home in silos of RW information are part of our problem.

Perhaps mandatory public schooling, with a curriculum that includes civic education.

I have been screaming this from the roof tops starting months before the Carter/Reagan election that was nothing less than Treason by all the RepubliCONs involved......HWBush/Cheney/Rumsfeld/Pearle/Wolfowitz and a hundred others.......AND the beginning of their entire RepubliCON fiasco all of us are now overwhelmed with.

My greatest blowback then, was not only from the RepubliCONs, but The Reagan Democrats, as they called themselves.............

Last week, as I was locking my car, my mind wandered to what an incredible world this would be if people were just honest.....
Then my thoughts for some reason, skipped to RepubliCON politicians, and I just had to shake my head and chuckle as I walked towards the store entrance......

All I am saying, is that there have to be realistic priorities and a certain amount of methodology in achieving goals.......

Their ego-self is all entwined with hating liberals. Their decision-making process isn't based on reason and analysis and evidence. It's based on negative emotions and what Fox News tells them.

The guy that introduced me to two of them is one of my best-ever friends - a totally honest, salt-of-the-earth guy, generous of both heart and possessions. I expressed misgivings about Canadian MAGAts, and he said something like "But they are great people."

I felt compelled to say they aren't. He questioned that, and I pointed out some of the major horrors that he was tacitly supporting. Enabling is probably a better word. He said something like "I know, but..." and I said there are no buts.

"What would you think of the nicest person you think you ever met if you found out they collect child porn? Torture small animals? Are they still 'great people'?"

He had to allow the obvious, and agree. It may seem harsh to judge someone on the single, very worst part of them, but I disagree. You can extend the analogy to death camps or any other damned thing you want. At some point, there is a belief or action that is beyond the pale. If there is not one of those points for a given person, they should be ostracized themselves.
