WAPO: Tuesday, 50 year old Sharon Williams burst into a nail salon in Manhattan, screaming obscenities at the Asian workers. Out on the sidewalk, she called an Asian man a “Chinese motherfucker.” He was an undercover cop, and now she is charged with hate crime harassment.

I've never heard of that, but she wasn't in the salon to have her nails done or for any other legitimate business, she went in there to disrupt their business and harass them. Interesting to see how this works, this is new to me, but I hope the charges stick.

should not be a surprise (at this late date). The animosity is not particularly new (dating clear back to 60s and 70s), or secret. On the other hand (providing a little cover for the poster) some of our narratives on racism through the years have not been -- overly instructive.

The recent incidence of a San Francisco school board member attacking the "Asian community" -- surprised most for its appearance as a clumsy (for a political figure) unforced error -- rather than for the actual sentiment. (although there is some nuance and mitigating circumstance in that incident as well) But in short, the terrain is often more bumpy and convoluted than simple narratives will allow.

29. The vast majority of the attacks on Asians in NYC have been from blacks.

Usually they are degenerate homeless men though which this woman appears to be neither.

My neighborhood has been particularly bad because a lot of cheap nyc hotels are near Hells Kitchen where many of these homeless have been placed during the pandemic. I now walk my son to school so my Japanese wife doesn’t have to deal with them loitering at the nearby bodegas. They are better off not messing with her though. She has an extremely confrontational personality and she is carrying a heavy sharp metal object that she will not hesitate to use to stab an attacker through the eye sockets.

Most homeless are just trying to survive and get back on their feet, but some are total psychos that will never be anything but chronically homeless degenerates.

The guy who attacked the Filipino woman while the doormen were filmed not giving a fuck was two blocks from my apartment. That guy also murdered his mother and was out on parole. He was staying at the Sheraton a few blocks from there.

The incident on Tuesday began around 5 p.m., police said, when Williams entered the salon and threatened physical violence against one Asian American woman before walking outside and continuing her verbal assault.

After she allegedly yelled a slur at the plainclothes officer, the officer called for a nearby backup team, which helped arrest Williams and took her to central booking.

It is unclear when Williams will next appear in court.
