FYI, there's some pixelated parts of a woman's anatomy in the video below. But that's not "filthy." The actions of the police officers is filthy.

(58,785 posts)I once did a little work for the internal affairs division, and the headline just struck me funny. How many illicit arrests of people of all races were passed over to pick this one? There's video, a huge plus of course, but surely there is of others as well?

(58,785 posts)being very poor and often homeless throughout my childhood. Experienced way too many bad cops, and also some kind ones.
But why react that way? It's not like street executions and other police attacks are a zero-sum game; an attack on someone of another race doesn't somehow take one away from a black person. The problem's much worse than people seem to realize, certainly than posts here suggest, and there are way more than enough tragedies for everyone to have more than they want.

(58,785 posts)Relative safety lies in appearing risky to try to victimize. Danger lies in making a bad cop think he can get away with abuse. Virtually all lower income people are very vulnerable, but that danger also reaches well into the middle classes regardless of race.
I remember a white teenager who was taken into an office and later dragged out naked and left sobbing on the hall floor outside the door, while the other officers around didn't see any of it (they said). The reason I remember that boy was it turned out that his parents were well to do, both attorneys, and apparently with at least adequate connections. BIG mistake. That's the last I found out about that; the whole thing was moved to wherever big mistakes are taken care of. I do know it never made the L.A. Times.

"We don't know who we're looking for." But you're black, so you'll do.
Not one thing there was according to police procedure. Sheer racism. "Is that the guy?" "Probably."
Guess 9 months of training isn't really enough, is it?
