then I saw THIS and it seems to me that justice MUST prevail.
The toe of his boot is no longer touching the ground, this means that all of his body weight is being directed down at Mr. Floyds neck, testified Dr. Tobin. This visual presented during court says a lot.

(86,496 posts)I try to catch a few minutes and that's all I can take. Now if it were a Congressional Hearing or debate, I can watch that all day for a week or two before I have had enough.

(4,069 posts)I just want to see all 4 of those ex-police officers held accountable for that murder.

(54,770 posts)trying. This one ain't even close. Chauvin was crushing an incapacitated, handcuffed man for at least 8 minutes and 36 seconds too long. Maybe he gets the lesser charge of manslaughter, but that will put him away for a long time.

(21,855 posts)he noticed how Chauvin was moving his foot. That guy made some great observations for a bystander. He knew Chauvin was shifting his weight.

(5,810 posts)I could listen to him talk all day. Partly due to his accent, but also his communication skills are great. He is explaining very technical information in terms a lay person can understand. I think how fortunate his students must be to train with this man.
I do have to take breaks because it is stressful thinking about how Mr. Floyd died. That is horrifying and Im sure the jury is not enjoying this. I feel for them having to sit there hour after hour listening to the horror of how Mr. Floyd was killed.
The defense attorney is attempting to put words in Dr. Tobins mouth but he isnt having it. If he disagrees, he says so without hesitation. Dr. Tobin will not be pressured into agreeing to things he has not said.

(972 posts)Here in Ohio there was a case a few years ago of a University of Cincinnati police officer who pulled over a black man for no front license plate. The stop escalated when they tried to arrest the driver and the police officer shot and killed him. The officer was charged murder and voluntary manslaughter. They tried him twice and both times it ended in a hung jury. They didn't try him a third time.
